As it is also World Copyright Day, I should point out that that beautiful photo comes from the State Library of NSW, via Flickr's Commons.

It reminds me of that delicious book full of pictures of women reading which my mother has. my favourite photograph of said mother has her reading the eye of the storm (look at that awful cover), which is also the title of next week's writer's festival, which i should go and prepare for.

damn. the interconnectedness of all things has thwarted my attempt to procrastinate.
