found object haiku

Friday, October 01, 2004

As you all know, japan is famous for its excellent ingrish t-shirts. I saw a punk rocker with a shirt that said ‘Nincompoop!’ and cynthia has an excellent story about the guy from her dojo who wore one saying ‘THINK testicles,’ not knowing what it meant. So here are some found object haiku, made of t-shirt slogans and advertising.

Love girls market you
Can’t buy experiences
Life is punk zen mall

Yoyogi robot:
Equal opportunity
Ukelele date

Please take a bridge
To this river for me
Bourgeois pig

Men & men: homos!
A long, long trip: Vagabonds!
This is my costume.

It’s nice to see you;
There are no birds of this year
In last year’s nests.

Sign in a zen temple garden:

Moss the interrupter
Very important moss
(like VIP)

Harajuku pie shop:

It is a cheese pie
Adhering to a new feeling,
The taste of surprise.

A new cheese pie
Is proposed from now on,
One after another.
